NATO Special Operations Headquarters Selects PacStar as its NATO Mission Support System (NMSS)

PacStar 2000 and 4000 series are deployed in support of NATO special operation missions

Portland, OR – October 30, 2013 – PacStar®, a leading developer and supplier of advanced communications solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and NATO, today announced it has been awarded multiple contracts from NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) to supply the NATO Mission Support System (NMSS) communication solutions in support of NATO Special Operations Forces coalition missions.

NSHQ selected the PacStar 4510 NMSS-S (small), PacStar 4400 NMSS-M (medium), and the PacStar 2010 and 2011 NMSS-H (heavy) to meet its broad range of mission requirements. All PacStar NMSS kits are managed by PacStar IQ-Core® Software to offer a common user interface across the platforms which improves communication and training across multiple NATO nations where language and skill set can vary. Additionally, the remote management capability gives NSHQ the ability to manage each kit from a single location, which helps with configuration management and troubleshooting.

“NSHQ’s selection of PacStar NMSS kits for the SOF coalition is a true honor”, said Jeff Sinclair, vice president of PacStar. “We believe our excellent integrated solutions, combined with PacStar IQ-Core® Software, as a common network management application across the NMSS platforms, will greatly enhance the success of the mission. PacStar IQ-Core® Software is designed to simplify network management and communication so the war-fighter can fight the fight, not the network.”
