MTN Appoints Peg Grayson as President of Government Services Subsidiary

Miramar, Fla. – March 14, 2013 – MTN Satellite Communications (MTN) announces the appointment of Margaret (“Peg”) Grayson to the position of president of MTN Government Services (MTNGS).  MTNGS is a Leesburg, Va.-based subsidiary of MTN.

Ms. Grayson joined MTN as CFO in 2011, bringing a strong leadership track record in the government and commercial communications markets.  She is a member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council (NIAC) appointed by President Obama, and previously appointed by President George W. Bush.  Due to her expertise in cyber security, Ms. Grayson has participated in several comprehensive studies designed to provide the President, through the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, advice on the nation’s critical infrastructure sectors and their information systems.  She co-chaired four published studies for the NIAC on infrastructure risks and vulnerabilities, as well as community resilience and recovery.

Prior to joining MTN, Ms. Grayson held senior management positions inpolicy, regulatory compliance, risk management and finance at Honeywell Aerospace and Defense, Spacehab, Inc. and V-ONE Corporation.  Ms. Grayson has served on the boards of public and private companies in healthcare and international risk management, and is on the Dean’s Council and Advisory Board of the School of Business at the State University of New York in Buffalo.

“MTN gained traction more than 30 years ago by deploying the first stabilized VSAT (very small aperture terminal) antenna at sea for a U.S. Government customer,” said Errol Olivier, CEO and president, MTN. “Over the years, as we grew, we were able to gain a solid foothold in a diverse set of markets.  However, we have never taken our eye off the government sector.  With Peg’s background in government and extensive knowledge of cyber security, it was a natural transition to put her in this leadership position.  Our government customers demand seamless, secure, dependable communications from broadcasting major live events to messaging real-time mission critical data in a secure environment with zero tolerance for mistakes.  With Peg at the helm, MTNGS is in an excellent position to step up and deliver even further innovation to help customers better achieve their missions.”
